description: The rapid rise of informational technology in the twenty-first century has added an Online layer that has pervaded a human’s everyday lifestyle, experiences, and spaces. The presence of an increasingly Online society has vast affects to contemporary economics, cultures, and politics. Exponential growth trends for informational technology give clear indications that it will continue to advance at astonishingly rapid rates into the future. This in turn, has escalated its importance over reality. The conditions have already begun to express a looming separation between an individual’s Online identity and reality. The physical realities of our everyday, no longer suit the digitally expanded lifestyles of the twenty-first century individual, therefore, the addition of the in Online layer fills the gap of this digital expansion. Various scholars, professionals, and researchers suggest benefits and disadvantages of this move towards an information-overloaded society. The enhancements have and continue to increase opportunity, expand learning capacities, and even increase freedom of speech. However, what is often forgotten is that interactions within the Online layer means the individual makes a trade of their personal data with whatever corporation that host it. Individuals willingly and at times, unknowingly give great power to the corporations and institutions over their data, in pursuit of personal convenience and engagement with their expanded-self. Caused by this trade, they are then able to control, manipulate, and analyze your data. This thesis aims to reveal and expose the Online layer of the present, through a speculative view of an Online, information overloaded condition in the future. Speculative Animations and Organizational Plans set an architectural framework that questions the traditional understanding of our everyday architectural space. Not only do we inhabit just our psychical spaces but we now also inhabit multiple Online identities; altering the way in which we experience these various context.
