description: This thesis is called Hot Rodding Mobile, partially because the twentyfirst century creates a mobile opportunity- equipping individualswith the ability to work from, and be, virtually anywhere through theuse of advanced technology, engaging a new nomadic generation.Moreover, some people simply need to travel for work, eliminating thetypical nature of being domestically bound to one place. However, thistwenty-first century opportunity is conversely paired with a housingmarket that has skyrocketed in price and is increasingly difficult toenter, making it seem un-investable to the average contemporarycitizen.In this thesis I am proposing that agency be given back to thecontemporary citizen with ultimate customization, or “hot rodding”of a multifunctional unit that can adapt to the ever changing needsof the user. Economic scenarios speculated in this project have thepotential to provide solutions for the new nomadic generation thatoffer affordability, flexibility, and independence.Overall, travel is growth. Travel is adapting. Travel is opportunity.Mobile architecture must take responsibility for current andfuture generations via the work generated from this thesis.
