These softwares [sic] will improve the delivery and construction process. Simply by redesigning the production and assembly process, in this phase one can inspire more creativity in the making. By the advancement of today’s technologies such as laser cutting, CNC, and 3D printing integration, these advancements will result into better development of typical manufactured homes.Author Margaret Drury; of the book called “Mobile Homes: The Unrecognized Revolution in American Housing” written in 1967 wrote about the following observation about Mobile Homes“the basic conflict that Mobility causes in housing is related to the American concept of home. This conflict is the product of the image of home or any architectural form as having time-honored roots; thus, the image of home is one of stability and rootedness. This home [mobile home] is so scared an American ideal that “stability” has come to be looked down upon as less than virtuous.”Drury pinned the distorted of what the concept of how Traditional Homes vs Mobile Homes are being viewed in America. However, Mobile homes were part of the evolution of housing development in America. For example, during the pioneering days, transportation and shelter were done by wagon cabins while pioneers conquered land, explored new territories and built communities. Dury also stated later on in her book that“the nation’s mobility and at the same time it’s need for this feeling of “permanence” we have had a conflict in our ideology. This conflict is reflected nowhere better than in the housing situation as seen in the mobile homes. It is in this situation that the conflict of the conventional, the stable, the home-rooted environment comes into the open”.Out of conflicts requires new solutions and innovation to allow change. The New Method of P.C.A.D will explore all the new possibilities.
