description: The thesis investigation was very cautious of the trauma left from the communist regime in Albania. As the years go by, the sufferings and secrets of the communist regime in Albania are still present along with the soviet architecture as well as 750,000 bunkers that the dictator, Enver Hoxha, built. Even though it has been 26 years from the end of the regime, the citizens of Albania still suffer the memories left from that period, as well as the true story that is untold and the secrets that still remain uncovered. A vandalized approach has been taken to the relics, the 13 different types of bunkers, that have taken over the Albanian landscape, as well as to the Soviet architecture built during that time in order to honor the sufferings of the people of Albania as well as to reclaim those symbols of the past in the name of the citizenry and provide new means of carry-on and allowing the population to move on from that past trauma. By taking apart elements of those past premises as well as cutting and carving into their heavy structures, it would provide new meanings and everyday programmatic uses interactions.
